Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing, timelines, ownership, how we work — anything you would like to know.

Pricing & Quotes

How is your pricing determined?

By actual scope: number of pages, how many languages, whether you need a content management system, and features like booking or payments. Each has a set price, and they add up to your total. We spend our time on the things that actually affect results — how the content is organized, what each page says, how you get found, and who maintains it after launch. If your needs are genuinely simple, we'll say so rather than sell you something you don't need.

What's included, and are there hidden fees?

The quote spells out what's included, what isn't, the timeline, and payment milestones, valid for 14 days. Anything beyond that list gets a separate written quote that you approve before we build it — we never do the work first and bill you after. Domain and third-party services (like Stripe) are billed directly to your own accounts; we don't mark them up or handle the money.

Can I get a website without a hosting plan?

Yes — hosting is optional for website projects. Business systems are different: they must include support. A system runs in the cloud, needs database backups, dependency updates, and bug fixes. An unmaintained system starts breaking within six months.

Projects & Delivery

What happens first?

We start by understanding what you need and where things stand. Phone, email, or WeChat all work, and a call is not required — plenty of clients run the whole project in writing. Once that is clear we price it against our published rates and send a written quote, and you decide whether to go further. That first step is free and commits you to nothing.

How long until my site is live?

A basic site goes live 1–2 weeks after your content is complete. Larger sites, bilingual sites, or sites with features take 4–6 weeks. Business systems start at 8 weeks. Note the clock starts the day your content is complete, not the day you sign. Waiting on copy and photos is the single most common cause of delay, so we hand you a content checklist at signing to make it straightforward.

What do I need to provide?

At signing we give you a Content Checklist that spells out exactly what text each page needs, roughly how many words, and what image sizes. Real photos of your premises, team, and products need to come from you — we won't generate fake AI images to pass off as your business. If you'd rather not write the copy, we can do it for a flat $600 including image selection.

I already have a site — can you just upgrade it?

Yes, and we do this often. If your site is slow, broken on phones, or looks a decade old, we rebuild it on a modern template while keeping your existing content and domain. Your domain and email stay exactly as they are.

Can I change things mid-project? How many revisions?

A basic site includes 2 revision rounds; a lead-generation site includes 3. Each round is unlimited in scope — send us 30 changes at once if you want. We respond to revisions within 24 hours. Changes beyond those rounds, or outside the original scope, get quoted separately. Bugs and typos are fixed free for 30 days after launch.

What if something breaks after launch?

Bugs, typos, and display errors are fixed free during the 30-day warranty. After that, if you are on a hosting plan, email or message us on business days and we handle bugs. If your site is down we treat it as urgent, weekends included. Not on a plan? We can quote fixes case by case.

Ownership & Leaving

Who owns the site once it's built?

You do. The domain is registered under your own account (not ours), the full source code is delivered to you once the balance is paid, and hosting and third-party services are opened under your accounts with your payment method. We're only an authorized collaborator.

What if I want to stop working with you?

You can leave anytime. Give 30 days' notice and we hand over every access credential within 24 hours — domain, hosting, code repository, third-party accounts. Nothing withheld. Since the site runs on your own hosting, it keeps working after we stop maintaining it, and you're free to hand it to someone else.

Will you have access to my email and company accounts?

No. We don't take over Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, we don't manage employee computers or devices, and we never hold your passwords. Keeping that line clear is safer for you, and it lets us do our own part better. If you need those services, we're happy to refer you.

About Us

Do you build business systems or customer portals?

We have — we built a full dispatch and tracking system for a drayage company. But right now we're focused on websites and long-term care, and doing that one thing well. If a system is what you need, tell me and I'll refer you to someone better suited.

Are you one person or a team?

The founder handles every project end to end, bringing in long-term engineering and translation partners when a project calls for it. The practical upside: from the first conversation through launch and ongoing maintenance you deal with the same person every time — never handed off to an intern, never re-explaining your business.

I'm not in Atlanta — can we still work together?

Yes. Website and system development is fully remote, and we work with clients nationwide. We're based around Buford / Gwinnett, so local clients can also set up a time to meet in person.

Can we communicate in Chinese or Korean?

Yes — Chinese, English, and Korean, and not just translated text. We can take the call and talk through requirements properly in all three.

Hosting & Marketing

What exactly does the monthly hosting fee cover?

Website Care at $49/mo: hosting and SSL management, domain and SSL renewal management, weekly automatic backups, security and dependency updates, uptime monitoring with alerts, bug fixes, small edits under five minutes free any time, a monthly summary email, and email support answered within 1-2 business days. Website Growth at $159/mo adds 2 hours of content updates each month, ongoing basic SEO, basic GEO / AI search optimization, a monthly report with the numbers explained, and priority support (reply within 4 business hours, downtime answered within 2 hours including weekends). Both plans have a free first month, no minimum term, and can be cancelled with 30 days notice. Work outside the plan is quoted separately. SEO and GEO are ongoing optimization services. No search ranking or AI-assistant result is guaranteed.

What is GEO (AI search optimization) and how is it different from SEO?

SEO gets you into Google's search results. GEO gets AI tools like ChatGPT to mention you when someone asks something like 'who's a reliable customs broker in Atlanta?' It involves structured data markup, how content is organized, and consistency of your business information across the web. More and more people ask AI instead of scrolling search results, and there's very little competition here yet — early movers win. SEO and GEO are ongoing optimization services. No search ranking or AI-assistant result is guaranteed.
